Just a brief one, Yesterday morning we were in Cat Ba Island and we went out on a kayak for the morning.. left at 8 returned at 12.00 but the first island we landed on was named monkey island (this because ... Yeah I know you get the picture) and speaking of pictures, a monkey grabbed my camera and took off down the beach with it... I took off after the damned monkey and as I got close the little bugger threw it right into the sea... so no camera, not sure if the photos' I've taken can be salvaged, and currently dealing with insurance.. Actually was ridiculously funny (eventually) have been laughing about it since... but need to replace it before we leave for Laos tomorrow... Will finish the Hanoi trip, Ha long bay and Cat Ba island later today.. Need to clear everything before moving on...
Oh and has anyone else heard of weasle coffee?? Will tell you later, have to find a camera shop..

ReplyDeleteDayna, you do not really believe this monkey business, do you? I think Tutu has gained weight and does not want to have her picture taken, or she had it taken off when she took pictures of classified locations...
ReplyDeleteOh yea of little faith... Have I ever lied to you Ben? (that you knew of??) I say no... In any event I had to get a letter off the tour leader for corroboration for the insurance company... Will take a photo of the letter and post... But the other funny thing about the monkeys... I was sitting on the beach (before the monkey chase) and Sonny our leader came down to sit with me holding a stick, because about 3mins before then, he was standing under a tree and a monkey landed on his head.. As he put it, it was a monkey tamer.. He wandered off back up the beach and obviously scared his monkey down towards me and my blessed camera.. But I have a replacement now and a unconvinced insurance company to play with when I get home, which OMG is only 9 days now.. xoxoxo
